Macmillan & Co Ltd, London, 1949. First edition. Book condition: Poor. Some shelf wear to boards and lower board hinge very weak. Some staining to spine and a little fraying to head & tail. Text block edges a little dust stained and some slight spotting. Hinge weak to rear board with webbing visible. Some wrinkling to both front and rear paste downs with a little bowing to boards suggestive of some light damp damage. Light spotting to end papers. Occasional light stain to pages. Dust jacket condition: fair. Price clipped. Some loss to lower edges of front and rear and slight loss to head of spine. Generally rubbed and corners chipped. Jacket in a protect wrapper. This is the fifth story in the Adventure series and is full of the usual thrills and excitment. The same much-loved characters are here again - Philip, Dinah, Jack, Lucy-Ann, Bill Smugs and. of course, Kiki the parrot. Here they go for a summer holiday in the welsh mountains where they fall into a most extraordinary adventure. A very serviceable copy.
