Limited edition. The limitation page says that this is copy no 364 of 500 copies though there is a small printed note saying that the edition was only 400 copies. 'Of these, 89 copies are imperfect through binding faults of stitching and or the heading on pages 6 and 7 are out of alignment.' The note is initialled WR (presumably Walter Riitchie). This is somewhat ambiguous in that it is unclear whether this note has been inserted in all copies or only those with the faults. On examination, there are no obvious binding faults. The headings on pages 6 and 7 are marginally out of alignment (by approx 2mm) and would probably not have been noticed had attention not been drawn to this. Small hardback. 30pp plus nine black & white photographs at rear. Tipped-in illustration as a frontispiece. Original clear wrapper. the book is set in Gill's Joanna type. Following Potter's memoir there is a postscript by Walter Ritchie. Book and wrapper in near fine condition. Small printed bookplate to lower edge of front paste down.
