An Illustrated Bibiliography Limited edition of 250 copies, this being copy no 105. Folio. 5, [1 - 41], 42 - 62, [6] pp. Plus separate folio of samples. Original cloth binding with a Chinese Paper laid on to the upper board. Original matching slipcase. Tipped-in frontispiece of Romeo & Juliet which is described by the Chinese expert Wang Shucan as a 'festival folk print' This picture was probably issued in several colours, and is printed here from a rare surviving old block found in Dong Ho, Vietnam. The book opens with an introduction: 'Spirit Papers Past and Future'. The unpaginated section which follows contains 37 tipped-in examples of Chinese papers. Pages 41 to 62 provide 'A Select Bibliography of Spririt Papers'. Following the colophon there is a further tipped in Chinese paper which is a seal cut by Judy Ling Wong. The pocket at the rear of the book contains a loosely inserted printed sample paper which is folded. The separate card folio contains three further loosely inserted samples. Book and card folio both in fine condition. Slipcase very good with just a little light scuffing and marking here and there.
