First edition Faber & Faber, London, 1968. First edition. Book condition: fine with little evidence of use. Front paste down has a small Foyles sticker and there is also a small sticker with a previous owner's name and address printed on it. Small mark to edge of text block (biro mark?). Dust jacket condition: very good. Unclipped with very minor shelf wear to head & tail of spine and to edges. Slight discolouration but still bright and clean. G S Fraser is a distinguished poet, editor and critic who knows the works of Durrell very well, and has re-examined it rigorously to write this study. This is a searching assessment of Durrell's work. The Bibliography is by Alan G Thomas, who with Lawrence C Powell was responsible for the first key bibliography of Durrell.
