Fragments of Four Books and a Charter of the Eighth Century Belonging to Worcester Cathedral Photographically Reproduced First edition, 1916. Hardback. lxxi, [2], 32 facsimiles with transcriptions on facing page (transcription of no 32 is on the preceding page). Blue cloth spine with blue paper covered boards. Title label to spine. This work was prepared and edited for the Librarian of Worcester Cathedral with transcriptions, introductions and appendices by Cuthbert Hamilton Turner M.A., Fellow of Magdalen College Oxford. Book in very good condition. A little bumping/wear to corners of boards. Boards generally rubbed and lightly soiled. Spine rubbed at extremities. Light toning to end papers. Internally clean and bright. Front paste down has the printed book plate of the late Eric Gerald Stanley (1923 - 2018), who was Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon and Fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford. The name C. B. Dallow is also blind-stamped to the upper edge of the front free endpaper.
