Each volume has a frontispiece followed by a vignette to the half title page (included in the plate count). Presumed contemporary binding. Black boards with half leather in burgundy and contrasting black to spines. Gilt titles and decoration to spines with decorative gilt ruling to boards. All edges gilt. Vol I includes The Rake's Progress, The Harlot's Progress, Times of the Day, Industry & Idleness, France & England, The Election, along with Beer Street and Gin Lane. Vol II includes: Hudibras, The Four Stages of Cruelty, Marriage A-La-Mode, Don Quixote together with others. All plates present and in the correct sequence. 150 steel engravings. Good.
